Guess what? It's been snowing at my house. A lot! We had a really big snow storm, the kind called a blizzard and it almost buried our house! When I went to bed on Friday there was a little bit of snow on the ground and when I woke up Saturday, look what I found!
Poor Lexi, the snow was up to her shoulders, it wasn't easy for her to go outside.
The wind was blowing really hard all night long and it was extra windy at my house because we live at the top of a big hill. The wind was blowing hard on the front of our house and not as much on the back so it made the snow pile up in funny places. The deck on the back of our house had some spots that were bare and other spots had snow that was taller than me.
Some of the windows on the back of the house had snow piled up next to them so you could hardly see out of them.
Some of the windows on the front of the house had snow pushed up near them too, but the wind kept them from being totally covered.
Here's my front porch, look at all the snow that blew up on the porch.
This is my house after the storm was over. You can see how there's almost no snow on the roof on the front side where the wind was blowing so hard.
I came outside to help supervise Daddy clearing off the driveway.
This is me smashing the snow!
It took Daddy a really long time to move the snow. I don't know why though, he had two kinds of snowblowers...
When he finishes the driveway, I'm going to have to send him to clear out my little house and slide. They're a little hard to get to right now.
Later, I had Daddy help me climb up the mountain.
I'm the princess of the mountain!
I really wanted to go sledding on my red sled. Look at all that snow, wouldn't you want to go too?
Mommy was having a hard time getting us to go down the hill in the back yard very far because she said the snow was "all powdery". If you ask me, going down wasn't the problem, it was getting back up that she wasn't good at. Every time she took a step, it was like we didn't even go anywhere. I kept trying to tell her "I want to go!", but she didn't go very fast. So if you want to see some pictures of me going sledding, you'll have to look at some of these from another time I got to use my red sled.
I hope you had a fun in the snow too! Click here to see some more pictures from the storm.
