Halloween Fun

Do you know what you do on Halloween?

Mommy told me all about it.  You go see neighbors.  First it goes ding dong, then say "trick or treat", and you get candy!  Then say, "Thank You".

I had so much fun getting ready for Halloween.  It was a really good time.  We had to wait a couple of extra days to do it though because there was a big storm.  My town said little kids like me had to wait until Sunday so it could be safe to go around in the dark.  But that was okay because I got to do fun stuff while I waited for it to be time to go see my neighbors, like carving a pumpkin!

Me and Daddy stopped at the farm on the way home from school one day and picked out a pumpkin.  It was a really big pumpkin!  I also got a little tiny pumpkin that was so cute, but you can see that little one later.

First Daddy cut a hole in the top of the pumpkin so we could clean out the stuff on the inside.

Daddy  pulled the top off and I was looking to see what was inside there.

There were lots of seeds I had to scoop out.  Mommy helped get the seeds and we saved them so we could toast them and eat them.

Then I watched Mommy as she put a design on the pumpkin.

It was taking kind of  a long time for Mommy to carve out the pumpkin's face, and I started to get a little bit bored.

So I started to use the tools to carve my own pumpkin pieces.

After the pumpkin was all done we took it outside.  See?  That's my little pumpkin I got at the farm when me and Daddy went there.  I also am holding a paint brush that I found when I went outside for my picture.  Sometimes I like to use that paint brush to paint the sidewalk at my house.

Later, on Sunday it was time to get ready for the best part of Halloween.  I dressed as an elephant this year.  Mommy said it's because I like to try to make elephant noises.

Aren't I cute?

I went to see Grandma on Skype because she wanted to see my elephant.

When I said goodbye to Grandma, Mommy made me put on a jacket and sweatpants too and then put my costume back on.  It was very cold out and she didn't want me to be freezing.

Mommy put a pillow and a blanket and a lantern in my wagon and she pulled me all around to lots of different houses.  I'd get out and walk to the door and get some candy and then Mommy would let me ride to the next house.  After I got back in the wagon I would always tell Mommy, "Go see 'nother neighbor" because I wanted to keep going trick or treating.

When we got back home, I looked at everything in my pumpkin.  This one says Twix.

And you know what?  It tastes really good!

So that's what I did on Halloween.  What did you do?  You can click here to see some more pictures from Halloween!
