Puddle Jumping

When we woke up this morning it was raining.  There was even some thunder and lightning outside too!  I wasn't scared, because I like the sound of the rain and I'm a big girl now, after all.

The rain didn't last too long and after my morning break (big girls don't take naps any more) Mommy helped me get dressed to go outside.  The sky had turned blue, the sun was out, and it was almost 60 degrees!  Mommy wanted to go for a walk to get the mail, but I had some other ideas in mind, especially when I saw some nice big puddles on the driveway.

I decided to take a walk through the puddle.  My feet made some neat splashes and ripples.

It was kind of fun, so...

I decided to do it again!

You can watch me play in the puddle here!

Also, did you know that puddles feel wet?  I know because I touched them.

There was another puddle that was even bigger than the first one and it made really big splashes when I ran through it.

Mommy said that I had to stop though when I saw a really big puddle on the lawn.  She said it was too muddy for me to play in.  I had an awful lot of fun and you can see some more pictures of me playing in the puddles here.

Love,
Emma

New Year's

Since I got to see Daddy's side of the family for Christmas, Nana, Grandpa, and Aunt Kate came to see me for New Year's.  The weather here on New Year's Day was so great that I took Nana and Grandpa out to play for a little while.  It was 60 degrees and sunny, a perfect day for taking them for a walk and to play in the sandbox.

Okay, now everybody hold my hands so you don't get lost.

It's a long driveway, so I hope you're up for a long walk.

Let's go back now and you can play in the sandbox.

Nana, the best thing to do is get right into the sandbox.  You'll have a lot more fun that way.

After we finished in the sandbox we went for a swing.

 Push me Grandpa!

Whee!!!

It was a great start to the New Year!
