Moving, Day 1

This morning after I got up and had some breakfast and got dressed a bunch of guys showed up at my house.  They brought a lot of boxes and started to put all Mommy and Daddy's stuff in them.  Mommy and Daddy didn't seem to mind very much but I've been keeping an eye on things.  So far I'm not too worried but, then again, those guys haven't really touched my stuff... yet.

The best part about today was that I got to watch lots of my favorite cartoon, Maisy.  She's a cute little mouse and I love her and all her funny friends.

After a while, Mommy said she thought I'd had enough Maisy and asked me if I wanted to color.  I really did want to color so Mommy asked the guys if she could have some of their big pieces of paper and we went out to the sun porch to color.

I liked laying on my belly to color, it was different from coloring at my table or on the refrigerator.

My head got a little heavy though after a while.

Twister and Chloe were hanging out on the sun porch too, so I visited them too.

After a while, the guys left in their van and I checked out all the boxes they piled up in the kitchen.  I told Mommy I was hungry so she let me sit on a box and have a snack.

Then I saw Daddy come inside!

I whispered and told him about all the things I want to do at the new house when we get there.

He said he thinks I'll like my new house and that he picked out, just for me.

It two more days, when it's Wednesday we'll all get in the car and drive up to our new house and then I'll live in Massachusetts.  Lexi and Twister and Chloe are all going to come with us too and live in the new house so things will be pretty much the same there.

Father's Day

For Father's Day Emma decided to have a little photo shoot and take some pictures for Daddy.  Here are some of our favorites...

Going for a Ride

I don't know if you know this, but we have a really long driveway at our house here in Virginia.  Mommy says it's a quarter mile long.  I don't really know what that means, but it sounds big.  We had a lot of recycling to take out this week, so Daddy decided to get the handcart out to help carry it all.  I walked the whole way down, but on the way back Daddy offered to give me a ride. 

 I rode the whole way back to the house and was having so much fun that I told Daddy I wanted to keep going.

When we were all done, I helped Daddy push the cart back to the garage to put it away.

At the Driving Range

This afternoon we went to the driving range with Daddy. 

It was pretty sunny out so I had to wear my sunglasses and my hat.

Mommy brought me some crackers to snack on while we watched Daddy.  While we watched, I tried to ask Mommy if he was kicking the balls but she said he was really hitting them.  He kept putting them down on the ground by his feet, so I'm not sure Mommy was right about that...

Daddy had a big bucket of balls so it started to take a while.  I had to sit down. 

 

I started to get a little bored, but then I found this neat bucket to play with.

I pretended I was Mommy.  It was my purse and I picked it up and waved bye-bye before I left to go do stuff.  But don't worry, I remembered to come give Mommy a goodbye kiss first.

After a little while Daddy was all done, so I waved to the bye-bye to all those balls and took Daddy back to the car ...but first I made sure he put his bucket away.
