A few weeks ago Emma saw me throwing a ball for Lexi and she quickly wanted to get in on the action. Here she is throwing the ball for Lexi... with a little help from Daddy!

First Pool Party of the Season
It has been B-U-tiful lately and a couple of days ago it was 85 degrees! So I called my BFF Alex and invited her over for a pool party.
She came right over and we put on our bathing suits.
We gathered up some toys...
...and climbed on in!
We splashed around a bit.
Mmmm! The water's great!
Lexi and Twister were enjoying the fresh air too.
Sorry, Lexi, Mommy says you have to stay inside.
We took a break and sat on the step for a bit.
Then we got up and ran around some more!
There's Miss Michelle in the background!
Maybe it's all those holes in the bottom that are making them leak...
After a sun filled afternoon, we started to get a little tired.
So we decided to call it a day and dry off. We had a great time and I can't wait to keep partying!

We decided to wear our matching hats 'cause we're BFF's and we do stuff like that.

Alex, is there something wrong with those cups?

Cinderemma
Emma has been very busy lately, too busy to write much on her blog, so here's Mommy to provide an update.
Emma has recently taken to helping out around the house... with everything! Anything Mommy and Daddy do she wants to be a part of. It has gotten to be easier to just let her help rather than try and occupy her with something else while we work.
She does her own laundry.

Dust bunnies are a particular pet peeve of hers, so swiffering is especially satisfying!
And, of course, vacuuming is tons of fun!
And who doesn't love to wash dishes?

I'll admit I needed a little help carrying the basket downstairs
Okay, everything into the washer!
That's a job well done!
It all goes in one load for now, we're still working on sorting the lights and darks.

I noticed your floor is a little dirty up here Mommy.
Take that dust bunnies!
Don't forget to get all the way into the corners!
It's like having my own personal cleaning fairy!
She's still trying to figure out how to back up so she can do the next pass over the rug though...
Washing dishes, huh? I guess I could give it a try...
Mommy! Guess what?! I got water on my shirt!
Anything else you want me to take care of?
So now the question is: how much allowance should a 17-month-old get... or should we just give her time off to go to the occasional ball without hassling her?
